Hosted on AWS, with no plugins to update
Your site is built as static files, stored in Amazon S3 and served through Amazon CloudFront. There's no WordPress install or plugin list behind it, so nothing on your side needs updating each month.
SSL certificate included
Every plan includes the SSL/TLS certificate that puts your site on HTTPS. We issue and renew it through AWS, so there's no expiry date for you to track and no separate line for it on your invoice.
DNS handled for you
DNS is the set of records that tells the internet where your website and your email live. We set them up at launch and change them when you ask, so you never have to learn what an MX record is.
Once your site is live
Update credits for changes
A new staff bio or an updated fee schedule is what update credits are for. Each credit covers 30 minutes of work, and Starter comes with 2 a year, Standard with 4 and Pro with 6.
Published turnaround ceilings
Change requests come back within 5 business days on Starter, 72 hours on Standard and 48 hours on Pro. Those are the ceilings our pricing page commits to.

You can take it with you
If you ever leave, we help move your domain out and give you an export of your site files to use with any compatible host. Some stock images get stripped from the export for licensing reasons.
Comparing St. Louis web hosting prices
Two questions turn a list of monthly prices into a fair comparison.
What is the monthly price attached to?
Our plans pair a one-time build fee with the monthly hosting: $499 and $25 a month on Starter, $1,199 and $30 on Standard, $1,499 and $40 on Pro. A self-serve host that only rents you space usually costs less each month, and leaves the site and its upkeep to you.
Is the SSL certificate in the price?
Starter, our cheapest plan, is $25 a month and includes the certificate. That isn't true everywhere. When we checked in October 2026, one St. Louis web host listed an $18.99 a month plan with no certificate among its features, and the first plan on that list to include one was $29.99. Ask any host whether it's included before you compare the rest.
What isn't in the monthly price
These are billed on top of the hosting plan.
Business email
Email is priced per user rather than folded into hosting. Managed email starts at $6 per user, per month, with Exchange Online Plan 1. Microsoft Business Basic is $8 and Microsoft 365 Business Standard is $16. It's billed per mailbox with no minimum, and extra addresses like sales@ or info@ are included at no charge.
Your domain name
Domain registration is billed yearly, per domain. Bringing a domain in costs the same as registering a new one, with no transfer fee.
Work beyond your update credits
Anything more involved than an update credit covers is billed at an hourly rate. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll say which side of that line it falls on.
Priority Support
Priority Support is a $15 a month option on Starter or Standard that takes a further 24 hours off your change-request turnaround. Pro already includes it in its 48 hour ceiling.

1. Tell us what you're on now
Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, WordPress, or something a nephew built in 2016. We look at what you have and tell you what carries over and what needs rebuilding, before you've paid anything.

2. We build a demo you can click through
You review a working version of the new site on our hosting before anything changes on your end. Edits are cheapest at this stage, so it's the time to make them.

3. Your email records come across first
If your email runs on your domain, the DNS records that deliver it are checked and carried across before anything switches over. That's the part of a move where a mistake costs you client mail, so it goes first.

4. Your domain points to the new site
You don't have to move your domain registration to change hosts. Pointing the domain at the new site is a DNS change, and that's the moment the new site goes live.

5. Billing starts, and we keep it running
Monthly hosting begins on the day the site goes live, not before. From then on, changes come to us through update credits.

Who is a good web hosting company in St. Louis?
If you'd rather someone local built your site and kept it running, Adams Digital does that from St. Charles, MO, with hosting from $25 a month on Starter to $40 on Pro. The SSL certificate is part of every plan. If you'd rather run your own WordPress site and you like doing it, a WordPress host with solid backups is the better fit, and we'd tell you so. Is an SSL certificate included?
Yes, on every plan, from Starter at $25 a month up. The certificate is issued and renewed through AWS as part of the hosting, so it never shows up as a separate charge and it doesn't lapse because a renewal email went to the wrong inbox.
Can you host a WordPress site?
No, we don't host WordPress. The sites we host are built as static files and served from AWS, which is why there are no plugins or core updates to keep on top of. If you have a WordPress site you like and it's kept up to date, a dedicated WordPress host is the better place for it. If you're done with the updates, we can rebuild it as a static site, and you'll see a working demo before anything switches over.
Can I move my existing website to you?
Yes, though unless your current site is already plain static files, moving it means rebuilding it on our hosting, which is what each plan's build fee covers. You'll hear what carries over before any money changes hands, and your old site keeps running while the new one is built.
Do I have to transfer my domain to switch web hosts?
No. Your domain registration and your hosting are separate, and changing hosts only needs the domain pointed at the new site, so the registration can stay where it is. If you'd rather bring it to us, transferring it in costs the same as registering a new domain, with no transfer fee.
Where is my website actually hosted?
On Amazon Web Services. Your site's files sit in Amazon S3, in Amazon's Northern Virginia region, and are delivered through Amazon CloudFront, its content delivery network. So if you wanted hosting on a machine in Missouri, ours isn't. The people who look after it are in Missouri, in St. Charles.
Is Adams Digital a St. Louis web hosting company?

No. Instead, we build and host a demo of your site for you to review first, and your monthly hosting subscription doesn't start until the site is live.
Do you offer discounts?
Paying annually earns a discount that varies by plan, and 501(c)(3) organizations get a discount too. Annual and non-profit customers can also pay by check.
What happens if my website goes down?
